Llama Mail This is a mail art story. It's a bit of silliness mixed with a little fear, using archival photographs, instant photos I took, paper, tea, an electronic recording chip, vintage images and mailing to respond to news about the pandemic from all over the world. It is part fact, and a whole lot of fiction- part of my Mentiras y Ficciones (Lies and Fictions) side habit.
The cover and envelope of the first card in the series.
The Front of Card 2. The Quantum Visionary Specialists advised swimming as a cure. People wanted solutions.
Card 3. A celebrity stepped in to promote swimming as the cure.
Card 4. Tex Masterfield, scientist, researcher (and boyfriend?) in a gas mask.
The Back of Card 4. Not too foreboding.
The Front of Card 5, Which was about how tea would protect you. I was actually told this by a well meaning person. If it were true, I'd have one heck of an immune system.
Card 5 was just the beginning of complicated.
Where the story begins, no one was worried at first...then they turned to the Quantum Visionary Specialists.

Inside of Card 3... and people started disappearing, including the celebrity who endorsed the water cure.
Inside of Card 4. No one knows what is going on but there is a lot of gossip.
Card 5 had multiple pages and included a packet of tea. Just in case.
Card 5- Some people still looked to science, and of course, Tex Masterfield Some people were hopeful about kale. We all look to kale in troubled times.
